Pollock Pines, Ca based Florist Get to know me a bit...
HI there! My name is Charity. I am a kindhearted, loving and somewhat free spirited Florist. I am 37 years old currently and although I started my career in floral design at just 18 years old back in 2006, it was not until January 2022 that I started Blooming Harlow. I absolutely love what I do. Getting to bring joy to my surroundings and into people's hearts, creating memories for all occasions makes me feel so fulfilled in this life. I have experience in everyday floral needs to celebrate and honor all things life brings our way, while having almost two decades specializing in events and staging for everything from grand openings, corporate events, holidays, weddings, engagements, baby showers, birthdays, bridal parties, weddings and funerals and everything in between. I work with you, guiding your vision hand and hand with your budget in mind to help you achieve your dreams. I also deliver weekly hand designed floral arrangements to your home or office for those who love luxury and romanticizing all of lifes details.
When I started Blooming Harlow I was making handcrafted bath bombs, soaks, shower steamers and candles because I was under contract still as a florist for a company. But, as as a self care girly I am passionate about the energy and ingredients that I have around me. It was important for me to bring that into my brand and it has been received very well. I have found that these items have also been popular gifts and shower/wedding favors since I offer customizations, making it easy for you to fit your occasion and aesthetic.
I also do balloons and can help you festively celebrate any and everything your heart desires. Delivering, setting up and coming back to break down after the event. You get all the magic and none of the headache. I do not use helium in my designs, everything is air filled. This is a personal choice that I feel is better for our planet and humanity overall. Many people do not realize that helium is a limited mined resource that is used for hospital ventilators and in aircraft operations. Knowing this I cannot in good faith use this limited and precious resource for a balloon. There are plenty tricks of the trade and alternatives to get a desired look and effect, I promise. I also prioritize my balloons being biodegradable and reusable limiting the impact on our planet.
I am currently working on expanding my inventory for event rentals to help take some of that stress off of you for your special events. Currently having various arches, vases, candles, table runners, drink buckets, baskets, floral hardware, flower rack and a few fold up tables and chairs.
Blooming Harlow is very much so a one woman show. I handcraft, shop, create, build and deliver/ clean up everything myself typically.
I have had the privilege of hosting two floral workshops in the past year and hope to continue that moving forward. It is rewarding for me personally getting to share and preach my love of the craft.
It is a fun activity for beginners and a passion play date for those in the trade wanting to expand on their skills. These are specialty classes and will be advertised on Instagram and are on first come bases. Tickets are limited and go fast as I provide all supplies needed, food and drinks, making it a really cool and effortless experience for everyone to enjoy.

I'm also a Wife!
Man, look at that smile this man gives me! My husband Zachary and I tied the knot in December 2024 in a private ceremony on our property. Newlyweds and new to our home town of Pollock Pines this is an exciting time in our lives. Buying our first home together in 2022 and adopting a cat and dog. We are both currently growing in our careers and slowly cultivating our dream home. You already know that I am a Florist so I want to talk briefly about my Husband, Zack. He towers over me by over a foot and always sports a big old mountain beard, but is actually 3 years younger than me. You would never know that by the way he carries himself with his traditional values, he holds the energy of an old soul. He grew up in Humboldt county, in many ways off grid. My mountain man. He specializes in welding and plumbing, both being his passions. But he happily dabbles in all areas of construction when needed. He just loves working with his hands. The role up your sleeve and figure it out type. He also helps out with Blooming Harlow! Helping deliver, haul or set up when I need an extra set of hands. Zack has a secret though! He is actually really creative. I hope that later in life when his career starts to slow down, he will be able to hand craft displays, home decor and furniture pieces with me for Blooming Harlow.

And a Dog Mom!
(I am a cat mom too, and she is great. She is super sweet, lovely and intelligent. BUT I am a dog person through and through)
I cannot wait to be a mother but until that day comes he ensures our hands and hearts are full. Meet Mickey! He is a roughly 100 pound, four year old pit-bull and American bull dog mix. He is most definitely the center of attention in our house. (but the cat definitely calls the shots) Mickey came into our home (his forever home) two years ago. He has been a pure light and a source of joy from day one. We play, laugh, cuddle and go on adventures together. There is never a dull or lonely moment when he is around. You can regularly find him with me driving around as he accompanies me on supply runs for the business. Our unofficial mascot if you will. When we aren't working, It is playing on our property, walking in our neighborhood and hiking around the lake followed by treats and snuggles on the couch over here with an occasional kiss from the cat on really special days.

Blooming Harlow is still growing
Now that you have an over view of who I am and what I am currently doing. I feel that future goals and dreams are also a good way to get to know someone.
I currently live in El Dorado County (Pollock Pines, specifically) Having now moved Blooming Harlow from Sacramento County where it started. I hope to grow and solidify within our home community.
I am still honestly figuring out what works best for me and the life I want. Part of me wants a retail shop, even though I did do that for 6 months in Folsom on Sutter Street and the overhead was not worth it with most of the traffic being online now days. All I have known in my lifetime is retail floral so I definitely crave the feeling of creating a space for customers to submerge themselves in while shopping. I currently have a shop on my property that serves as an online daily delivery and event prep area. I have been doing all sizes of events for my whole career. There is no overhead and I still get to transform the vibe of a space and make people happy. And the hippie in me would love to just do pop ups and sell my handcrafted items and fresh flowers a few times a week. So currently while I am figuring it all out, I am doing a little of everything. (pray for me)
